Think Tank

Fill it up with water
chuck ’em in
let them thrash around for a while clutching their ideas
never asked no-one what they thought on the streets
public opinion is
decided in the board rooms
nodded agreement in hush hush court rooms
churned out for the masses
saturate the working classes
celebrated by celebrity clinking champagne glasses

The buzz words of today
infiltrate the in-crowd
spread as viruses and rote learnt aloud
fizz and crackle with candy-bar sweetness
overflowing with immediacy
yet drenched in hypocrisy
