The calm before the storm

the sky is bleeding its technicolour warning
taken for granted this wondrous dawning
we sense profound hush as the earth greets the morning
are you ready to act out the next scene as you’re yawning?

will we find out in the dusky late evening
where our paths are perpetually leading?
never enough hours in the day to be free
didn’t end up where I wanted to be
always the same deep feelings of gloom
when we’ve overcome slumber it’s the age of the moon
such a surprise that’s its over so soon!
